This simple montage was created using Adobe
Photoshop 5.5 and Adobe ImageReady. The
background mountains are the along the Alaskan
Pipeline in the Gates of the Arctic National Park, above
the Arctic Circle. The photo imposed over it is myself,
piloting somewhere in the Talkeetna Mountains north
of Anchorage.
This peice was created using Adobe Photoshop 5.5. The
background is another picture from Alaska, somewhere in
the Brooke's Range. Cut out and pasted from another picture,
myself holding a Halibut caught in the Pacific, near Homer. The
image of myself was cut out of another picture and pasted
in to look as if I'm hauling the fish up the road.

The software is Adobe Photoshop. The background is the pass
from the Brooke's Range into the Tundra of the Arctic. The wise
man sitting atop the mountain is the grandfather of my roomate,
Francis Avinash (also pictured to the left). The ghost like effect
is given by setting the opacity of Avi's Granpa to 50%.

This was created using a combination of Photoshop 5.5 and
Freehand. I photographed the beaker in class. The man
brewing in the beaker is my Grandfather in 1944 or 1943, at
home in Brooklyn, on leave from the Pacific. The DNA was
constructed in Freehand. It was blurred into a picture of me.
The background was scanned: three individual disks were
scanned and placed used to frame the picture. The background
is scanned graph paper.

This portrait was done solely on Adobe Photoshop 5.5. The
background is me surveying the tundra, about 400 miles north
of the nearest city . . . the only soul for hunderds of miles.
The horizon is another picture of me. Lighting effects were
added using Photoshop. The original picture is in black and
white. Likewise, the snowboarders on the mountain are me,
snowboarding (in Quebec). The path that leads in front of me
is really scanned newspaper with 1s and 0's imposed over it,
and skewed to look like a path through the tundra.

This piece was created using Freehand. Each individual line was
drawn by hand.

This piece was created using Freehand. The photographs were
pasted into the picture frames, copied from actual images.

This peice was created using Adobe Photoshop. The
background picture was a photograph donated by Nina
Ayer, who took it on one of her trips to India. All other
pictures are either my own or public domain.
