Agora Ballroom, Columbus, Ohio

September 25, 1974

"I believe that's the Agora. On the way to the gig I was driving the truck and stopped at a light. A Columbus city bus pulled away from the curb and with me stopped, wacked into my passenger side mirror breaking it and his mirror too. Cop comes along and charges ME. Said to me 'I know you weren't moving but the bus driver's a city employee and so am I, so yes you're taking the charge'. Vic Wilson tried to dock my pay for it and the band put their foot down and told him 'no'.

"Also at the club was a house P.A. and I'm wondering 'where the heck is the sound board?' Turns out it's in a room upstairs and you look out the window to see the band. You really couldn't hear the mix, so I had to keep running down to the crowd to check it out. I was looking for myself in those pictures.

"Check out the drum kit at the base of the cymbal stands, you can pick out the turnbuckles that hold them in place. That white platform was my creation that I built out of desperation when all of a sudden we had a new drummer and were going to be playing big time gigs. Played with Lynrd Skinrd (nice spelling) in toledo and their drummer checked it out and then brought his drum roadie over and they took pictures cause he wanted the same setup." - Ian Grandy via email to Skip Daly, January 14, 2008
